Due to the way ADHD affects the brain, we are highly sensitive and can become easily overwhelmed with powerful emotions. Practicing mindfulness of the breath can help bring ourselves back into the present moment rather than automatically responding to triggers. There are many ways to incorporate mindfulness in your life aside from sitting on the floor in a meditative posture.
